This is the coolest most entrancing musical device you will ever hear!  It is not just a gadget, but an actual release of original music from a duo from China known as FM3.  FM3 is an international ambient music phenomenon who took the music world by storm with their decidedly low-tech/hi-tech music release.  The Buddha Machine plays back 9 short snippets of music, some only seconds long, and loops them indefinitely. 

There is a selection switch on the side to select from the 9 loops, a headphone jack and a volume control.  Resembling an old time transistor radio from the 60's, it also sports a small tinny speaker that crackles with distortion and character as the tones swirl and loop.  They are available in 9 colors and come in really cool Chinese packaging (it almost smells like fireworks!).  But sorry,  colors are shipped at random according to the artists' request.

If you are in a deep task, or in need of a deep break, simply turn on the Buddha Machine and loop away.  I'll run it through my surround-sound system for a truly enveloping experience while I work, clean or create.  The 9 loops are very unique and set distinct moods, some gentle and relaxing, some more stimulating and provocative.  In fact, a slew of intrigued musicians have already composed their own original works using the loops as the building blocks.
